Went to a very exciting Film Industry meeting last night at the Houston Community College on Hayes Road.  The Rep from the Texas Film Commission talked about how the Texas Film Incentives work.  The Prez of the Texas Motion Picture Alliance talked about how they plan to keep and increase the Film Incentives.  But most important, Houston own Greg Carter, Director/Producer, of the TV series, "The 5th Ward", announced that his series has been given the green light for 2 more seasons on BET.  That was wonderful news.

Going to a Film Industry meeting tonight at 6:30 pm at the Houston Community College on Hayes Road.  The Texas Film Commission along with many from the Film community will be in attendence.  Not sure what they will talk about, but I suspect it is about the Status of the Film Industry in Texas, about raising Film Incentives and much, much more.  Be there or you don't have knife or gun in this fight.

Well, got submitted for a SAG Film in Louisiana.  Also, completed my 3rd assignment in my Screenwriting class.  I now have a good story and foundation for my Thriller Screenplay.  Hopefully I will have ready to market Thriller at the end of the Class.  In case you didn't know, Thrillers are the most sought after Screenplays in Hollywood.

Well, just completed my second class of 15 class screenwriting assignment.  In this one we created the Log Line for a Thriller Script.  Hopefully at the end, I will have the basics of a new Thriller Script.

On the Writing Class Assignment, looked at Thriller movies last night to select one that meet the Class Map for Thrillers.  Selected a Johnny Dep movie "Transcendence" to evaluated and compare.  Who are the Hero's, who are the villains, suspenseful moments, twist and turns, unexpected changes.  "Transcendence" is full of these.

Yahoo, taking a 3 week Class in "How to Write a Thriller."  Should be an interesting 3 weeks.

Went to the Film Industry Meeting at Pho Crab on Westheimer.  Was a Feisty meeting.  Topics discussed were Union work in a "Right to Work State".  Young, untrained actors acquiring their SAG card without much training.  Non-qualified trainers teaching Acting Lessons.  An finally talk about a new Sound Stage in Houston for Episodic.  People attending were all mixes from the Film Industry.

The SAG-AFTRA Monthly Mixer will be held on February 20th at CIRO's Restaurant at 9755 Katy Freeway at Bunker Hill Rd.  Be there and see what's happening in the Film Industry.

Hello Everyone, well a lot of things have happen since I returned from New Mexico and since the last post.  1) The Movie "Bagatelle" went NON-UNION and left me out in the Cold standing in the Parking Lot.  2)  I have written a Screenplay called "Crackerjacks" which is about training Pilots for WWI.  In September 2018, it won Best Action Screenplay at the Revolution Film Festival.  Thank you Mr. James Christopher, Festival Director.  I am now in the process of development and marketing it into a Major Film.  The Films logline, "America's First Top Guns implement a complicated and tricky plan to defeat German Spies and a saboteur", can be found on my profile on Script32 and is published in Inktip magazine.  3) Wow, I had my first ever Audition for a National Commercial for the Super Bowl.  I felt so honored just to be included with all the Actors that got to Audition.  Stay tuned, more to come in the Future.

Well, after spending 6 years in New Mexico, I am now back in Houston.  I have resigned with Neal Hamil.  Have been to several auditions since I returned and have landed a role in a SAG Shot film called "Bagatelle".  They are still in the fund raising stages and will film in the future.
Just got back from Vacation on the Big Island in Hawaii.

Well, it's been awhile since I posted on this blog.  I guess I should change the name since I have been in New Mexico for over 3 years now. lol  My Agent, "A&M Talent House" is really good.  They have gotten me more Auditions in 6 months than what I got in Houston in 3 years. Hoping to get another shot at the hit series, "Longmier".  Later

Took new headshots to my Agent in Santa Fe. The Lawyer pic and the "Bad Boy" pic. They really liked them. Hopefully the pics will inspire future employers.

The Future and the New Year

The future and New Year promises to be exciting. New Agent in Santa Fe, new headshots and a recent fantastic Audition for TV Pilot are just a few things. Met the Graphic Artist who did the story boards for Avatar. He is now working on a story board frame for my movie "Cracker Jacks". Hopefully the board will help me get it in front of Directors and Producers.

Stroke of Luck

Yesterday, I went to an Arts and Crafts Festival. Unbelievable, met an Artist there that worked on the Story Boards for "Avatar". He is going to do one story board for my movie "Cracker Jacks". Anticipating it's arrival to see what it will looks like. Possibly can use it to market the movie.

Move to New Mexico

Well, the move to New Mexico has turned out quite satisfying. Got a new Agent and in two weeks since I signed, I have had 2 auditions. One was for a TV Pilot. It would be nice to land that one.

WIFT Party and My Screenplay

Went to the WIFT 75 birthday party Thursday evening at Bonhome. It was good to see old friends and a good turnout. Now I am back in Los Alamos, 30 mins. NW of Santa Fe. Got some good news the other day, an Associate Director of a major Hollywood Studio will take a look at one of my Screenplays within the next two months. Keeping the fingers crossed.
